Take yourself and your voice to the next level. Master voice teacher, Jessica Williams has worked with singers from novice to professional for over a decade and given them a class experience that is enriching, educational, expansive and celebratory. While rooted in technique, Jessica gets you out of your head and into the spirit. Each class includes vocalizing, harmony, and improvisation. You will leave this class inspired, connected and a better musician through the ancient and timeless tradition of voice in song.

USING THE YOU CAN SING, COMPLETE VOCAL TECHNIQUE CD!!

There are many ways to use the YOU CAN SING, Complete Vocal Technique CD with Jessica Williams. As I mention in the CD booklet, do not ever push or strain your voice when using this CD. These exercises were designed with the maximum range in mind, so they start low and end high. Only sing what is comfortable and stop mid-exercise if it is out of your range. You can cause harm to your vocal chords if you push beyond your ability. Progress will come with patience, not by force.

There are 10-minute sections which concentration on different areas of your vocal range: pitch match, low range, mid range, high voice, scales, jumps, belt & minor. You can skip around and use different sections each time you use this CD. You can use the sections out of order, based on which aspect of your voice you want to concentrate on. Rarely will you use this CD from start to finish.

If you have never had voice lessons or are new to study, go gently with yourself and think of the CD as a long-term project; it might be 6 months to a year before you get through the whole CD.

Back-up singer: pitch match, jumps, scales

Conjunction with private voice lessons: Ask your teacher which area of vocal concentration is your weakness. Warm-up with pitch-matching before your lesson.

Jessica graduated Berklee College of Music, has performed in top clubs in Los Angeles (Knitting Factory, Mint) and San Francisco (Fillmore, Great American Music Hall), and is an award-winning songwriter (BMI, USA Songwriting, Nashville Songwriters & John Lennon Songwriters.) Her song, Luckiest Girl, has been licensed for film & television. She is also a vocal coach and has taught master classes for Grammies in the Schools, Claremont Colleges & Loyola Marymount University Extension. She designed curriculum in songwriting, music theory & group voice for Blue Bear School of American Music. Her "You Can Sing, Complete Vocal Technique" CD is carried at Mc Cabe's Guitar Shop, LA, Time Warp Music, LA, and Haight-Ashbury Music Center, in San Francisco. Jessica also leads workshops and private sessions for L.O.V.E. Parenting.
